Historic Sri Veerabhadra Swamy temple is in the Kuravi mandal of the Mahabubabad district in Telangana State, India. Kuravi is also referred to as Korvi. It is located approximately 70 km away from the area of Warangal. This temple is dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra swamy, who is fierce looking Diety with three eyes and ten hands, who was a brave Gana of Shiva and the first incarnation who beheaded Daksha Prajapati on Shiva 's orders.

The temple was built during 900 AD by Bheema Raju of Vengi chalukyas. Later work was done by Betharaju I of the Kakatiyas. Traveller Marco Polo has made reference to the temple while Kuravi stood as the capital of Vengi Chalukyas.

The Kakatiyas built the temple in order to worship their deity of generations, i.e. Lord Shri Veerabhadra Swami. The lord's consort, Shri Bhadrakali was also subject to their worship. The Temple is therefore known across the land as the Shri Bhadrakali Veerabhadra Swami temple.

Kuravi comprises of one of the most holy and sacred Shiva temples in all of South India. Kuravi is unique for its culture. The temples of Lord Veera Bhadra Swami and Bhadrakali temple at this location have many Tribel and non-tribal devotees coming to  these temples to get blessings of the god. Maha siva rathiri, the biggest event in Kuravi along with festivals like “Bathukamma”, “Bonalu”, etc.

There is a witness that Kakatiya Veeranari Rudramadevi performed Pooja and offered Ratnas to God.

When Kuravi Village was in trouble with the destroyers, Veerabhadra came to protect the residents. People say that Veerabhadra comes in a Human form, plays and sings with the villagers, and disappears.

People believe that Veerabhadra removes all the obstacles and fulfils their wishes. Dwajasthambham of the temple and Shakthi Yantra were very powerful in those days. People who hug the Dwajasthambham must only speak the truth.
