Pavitra Sangamam is the confluence of the Krishna and
Godavari rivers at Ibrahimpatnam in Vijaywada. The interlinking of the two
rivers came to fruition with almost 2400 cusecs of Godavari water. It reaches
the Ferry and moves towards the Prakasam barrage.
The place is considered to be holy as two of the
holiest rivers merge here. The entire area is decorated with lights and
beautification with a wonderful aarti on the ghats in the evening. There are
steps to sit and watch the arati taking place.
During the day time, the visit to the place provides a
calm, serene and peaceful environment.

By Air: The nearest airport
is the Vijayawada International Airport or Gannavaram International Airport
around 42 KMs. Get to the city centre by taxi, which is about 25 km from the
airport. From there local transport is easily available.
By Bus: Vijayawada is well connected with national highways and
good frequency of buses to and from the city to major cities of Telangana,
Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu.
By Train: Vijayawada is extremely well connected by trains. It has
one of the biggest and busiest railway stations in India, with more than 300+
trains passing through it. Vijayawada Junction Railway Station (BZA) has trains
to all the major cities of south India.
