Located at the top of Nandapur hills near
Nandapur village, 26 KM distance from Semiliguda and 45 KMs from Koraput town.
The waterfall is surrounded by a dense forest and a walk towards the fall from
the parking area through a beautiful corridor made alongside the river makes
the experience really beautiful. There is also a beautiful park near the
waterfall and the spot is also used for picnic by many tourists.
Through the serene and majestic hills, the
crystal clear and clean water falling provides a peaceful and enchanting
experience to the tourists visiting. Maintained beautifully by the authorities,
the place is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Orissa. A trip with
family will make the experience worthy for a day out. Just for information, the
waterfall is different from Dudma waterfalls which is around 54 KMs from here.
The fall is around 60-70 feet high. The
name of the falls is believed to be derived from some cultural and historic
events.
From the parking area, there is a walk of
around 500-700 meters to the waterfall. But the walk is very easy, flat and
beautiful. Do not bother to walk even if you have infants with you.

airport is at Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) 170 KMs away which is well
connected with New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Nagpur by going flights.
Bhubaneshwar Airport is around 487 KMs.

Road: Nearest bus stop is Semiliguda, around 25 KMs from the
waterfall.

Train: Nearest railway station is Koraput around 47 KMs
Stay Options:
For the next 2 days, we
were moving from Rayagada towards Koraput and Malkangiri while covering places
around. Staying options are available at Jeypore or Malkangiri, but our route
was like, for Jeypore we had to move to a different directions. There is a
place called Damanjodi, where there are couple of staying options. We stayed in
a new just started hotel: Hotel Lemon Royal, which is quite good at a descent
cost too. Food is good too.

parking for the waterfalls. It’s a big tourist spot.
