Bogatha Waterfall is a waterfall located on the Cheekupally stream, Wazeedu Mandal, Mulugu district, Telangana.It is located 120 kilometers (75 mi) from Bhadrachalam, 90 kilometers (56 mi) from Mulugu and 140 kilometers (87 mi) from Warangal. The newly constructed Eturnagaram bridge on National Highway 163 reduced the travelling distance to Hyderabad from 440 kilometers (270 mi) to 329 kilometers (204 mi).
Of the waterfalls in Mulugu District, Telangana state,
it is the second largest waterfall in the Telangana region.
Bogatha is colloquially called as "the Telangana
Niagara" and "Telangana Niagara jalapatham". Its a nice scenery
to go and visit there is a well maintained park and tower to see around
When we visited, it was December and literally there
was no water. June to Novermber is a good time to visit the falls. The extent
of the rocks show the amount of water the falls have during monsoon. The
waterfall is a massively huge waterfall and is next only to Chitrakote falls in
Chattisgarh.
Bogatha Waterfall is 120 km away from Bhadrachalam,
and 329 km away from Hyderabad. The distance has come down from 440 km because
of the newly constructed Eturnagaram bridge on National Highway 202. A
magnificent waterfall in the district of Khammam and second biggest waterfall
in the State, Bogatha waterfall presents a splendid spectacle of falling waters
and rich landscape and therefore, aptly gets the epithet the Niagara of
Telangana. As motor able road is not available, visitors need to trek for some
distance. Visiting this waterfall gives an excellent opportunity to those who
are interested in trekking and looking for a chance to indulge in adventure
sport.

The water fall is located 120 km from Bhadrachalam. From Bhadrachalam, village
Koyaveerapuram G can be reached by road. Bhadrachalam can be easily reached
from Hyderabad by road. In order to reach the falls 23kms from Eturnagaram,110
Kms from Jayashankar (Bhupalpally) headquarters, 123kms from Warangal, 243 kms
from Khammam, 123 kms from Bhadrachalam and 280 kms from capital Hyderabad.

which is connected well to major cities of India by rail. Warangal is a major
railway junction on the Hyderabad-New Delhi and Chennai-Kolkata route. From
there you can reach by roadways.

Bogatha, or couple of resorts on the banks of Godavari around 12 KMs from the
