It’s a Ramalingeshwara Temple: The temple mainly consists of Garbhagriha and the Mandapa the architectural style of the temple is Orissa’s Rekha Deul style (Kalinga Architecutre). The god is referred as ‘Kames Wara Deva’. The Kamalingeswara Temple was built in the middle of the 12th century A.D. during the reign of Madhu Kamarnava of the eastern Ganga Dynasty. As per scriptures which are in a very dilapidated condition, it is said to be built by King Gangi Raju, Kamarla Devudu during 1147-1156. Ganga Rajas.

The sculptors are mind blowing and the priest who is maintaining the temple is very helpful.

The temple is under ASI protected monuments, and the maintenance is below to average.

Address : Galavilli Village, Balizipeta Mandal, Parvathipuram Manyam District, Andhra Pradesh State,

Sthalapuranam: Maha Shivalinga where the full power of Shiva shines naturally with the Brahma Sutra. The Maha Kshetra built by Kalinga Ananta Chodavarma & Gangadeva in the 11th century. Some time later during the reign of the Mohammedans, they destroyed this area due to the hatred of idol worship according to their religious beliefs and even inside the womb, the Maha Linga was torn to pieces. In the later period, the lords there brought that different form of Shivalinga, pasted it with cow ghee and tied it with darbha grass ropes for a few years, and the piece was mixed with the linga.

Route and Location:

A very beautiful temple at a very beautiful place located at a slightly remote area. We were coming from Dantapuram via Talada and took the Palakonda-Rajam Road which was in a very bad condition. One has to take the right from Burada and move another 9 KMs to reach the temple, although GPS would ask you a different right which is not correct.

We started from Srikakulam and had to cover Dantapuram, and Uma rudra koteshwara Temple on way, so the route we took was this:
