Location: “Venugopalaswamy Temple, 3P9P+HCJ, Atmakur - Jogampally Rd, Atmakur, Telangana 506342”
We visited this temple at Atmakur, in
Atmakur-Jogapally Rd, hearing that it’s an ancient temple. I found very limited
information about the temple online. If someone finds more information, please
do share.
As per the information I received, the temple
dedicated to lord venugopalaswamy (Lord Vishnu) and is almost 400 years old.
Although very small, the architecture of the temple resembles a typical
Dravidian style with a front gopuram and a main vimana above the garba griha.
There are vigrahas which look really old and the idol of Venugopala swamy in
the garba griha.

We went early, there was no problem with parking.
There is ample space in front of the main gopuram.
Photography is allowed and I even used Drones.

2-3 KMs from the fort area.
Padmakshi Temple, Siddheshvara Temple are opposite to
each other.
How
to Reach:
By
Road: The temple is situated around 200 meters on the left
of NH 163 (Warangal-Eturnagaram road). So one should just get down at the
location shown in the map asking from Katakshpur after the Indian Oil Petro
Pump if coming from Warangal.
By
Rail: Nearest railway station is Warangal around 33 KMs.
Anyone can catch a bus plying from Railway station on NH163 can reach the
destination. Or can hire a local auto or taxi.
By
Air: The
nearest airport is Hyderabad around 192 KMs
